Doctors

Dr Sanop Jacob Mammen
MBBS, MD Psychiatry, FRANZCP
Dr Mammen is a Consultant Psychiatrist with 9 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of adult mental health conditions. He provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
Dr Mammen completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences, India, followed by specialist training and an MD in Psychiatry at Father Muller medical College affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. He moved to Australia in 2020 and did additional training in psychiatry with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and attained FRANZCP.
His professional experience includes work across various public mental health services in NSW, QLD and WA, encompassing community psychiatry, inpatient care, addiction psychiatry, old age and consultation-liaison psychiatry. This breadth of experience informs a holistic understanding of the complexities that influence mental health and wellbeing.

Dr Mammen has a particular interest in:
- Psychotic disorders and schizophrenia spectrum conditions
- Mood disorders – depression and bipolar disorder
- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults

Dr Karthika Johnson
MBBS, MD Psychiatry, FRANZCP
Dr Johnson is an experienced adult psychiatrist who provides warm, evidence-based care for a wide range of mental health conditions. She takes a holistic approach, considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that shape each person’s wellbeing.
After completing her medical degree and specialist training in psychiatry at Father Muller Medical College in India, Dr Johnson moved to Australia in 2020 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
She has worked across community, inpatient, and telehealth settings in NSW, Queensland, and Western Australia, supporting people at different stages of their recovery journey.
Dr Johnson’s approach is collaborative and compassionate — she values working together with patients, families, and other clinicians to build resilience and support lasting wellbeing.
